തമിഴും മന്ദാരിനും (ചൈനീസ് ഭാഷ )

ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പുരാതനമായ 6 ഭാഷകളില്‍ ഇന്നും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു  ഭാഷകളാണ് തമിഴും ചൈനയുടെ ഭാഷയായ മന്ദാരിനും.ഈ രണ്ടു ഭാഷകള്‍ക്കും ഉള്ള ബന്തം ഏതാണ്ട് 2000 വര്‍ഷങ്ങളോളം പഴമ ഉള്ളതാണ് .പാന്കൂ ചൈനയിലെ ഒരു മികച്ച കവിയാണ്‌ .ഇദ്ധേഹം 1 AD യില്‍ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു കവിയായിരുന്നു.അദ്ധേഹം   എഴുതിയിട്ടുള്ളത് ഏതാണ്ട് 2 BC കാല ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ചൈനയും കാഞ്ചി യും വ്യാപാര നിമിത്തം ബന്തം പുലര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നു എന്നാണു.(കാഞ്ചി എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ഇന്നത്തെ കാഞ്ചീപുരം ആണ്.)ചൈനയുടെ രാജാവ് ആന്‍,രാജധൂതന്മാര്‍,പണ്ഡിതന്മാര്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ കാഞ്ചി സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചിരുന്നു. 

Reference : Fa-Hien (401-10 AD) describes a huge monastery in Dakshina, probably in Kanchi or at Nagarjunakonda. A Tamil prince turned Buddhist Bikku, Bothi Dharmar, traveled from Kanchi to Quanchu in China and later moved to a nearby cave hill to meditate for 9 years before preaching breathing exercises, meditation and self defense (now Karate) to a large number of followers who named it as Zen (thiyaanam) Buddhism, now very popular in all of East Asia. Later Wei dynasty king received an ambassador from Tamil Nadu. I-Tsing was in a ship which came to Nakappattinam.Narasimman of Kanchi sent an ambassador to China and also built a Vihara for the Chinese in Tamil Nadu. Rajarajan built a Vihara for the Chinese in Nakappattinam.Chau Ju-Kua says that Chola country had been trading with China for ages.A late thirteenth-century bilingual Tamil and Chinese-language inscription has been found associated with the remains of a Siva temple of Quanzhou. This was one of possibly two south Indian-style Hindu temples that must have been built in the southeastern sector of the old port.

From the Tamil New Year and Thai Pongal day, all the 18,266 hymns of Thirumurai can be read in Chinese Pinyin.  http://www.pinyin.info/  Dr. Goh Yeng Seng of the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technical University, Singapore has done this.Many persons of Chinese origin, now in Singapore and Malaysia recite Tamil thirumurai and are practicing as singers.This effort in transcription is to support those singers and the globalised Chinese community in delving into Tamil songs.
